I would return to this hotel if I am ever in the area again, they had everything I needed (except the USB). We took advantage of the free shuttle to the airport, very handy feature! Only constructive criticism I would offer would be to add USB ports somewhere in the room, there weren’t any and I had forgotten my charger but luckily the back of the TVs had one so we were able to utilize those to charge our phones. My son used the workout room, he didn’t have complaints. I used the indoor pool as well, clean and refeshing. Room was clean and spacious, had a full kitchen with stovetop & refrigerator, truly like being at home! Breakfast was very hearty & filling with multiple choices. Despite arriving at the hotel at midnight, the service desk associate was courteous & efficient getting me checked in. I was in Kansas City very briefly to visit family. This was my first time staying at a Residence Inn. (we gave them the benefit of the doubt on the maid thing - it could have been any number of reasons) Overall our stay was very good.I’m a big Marriott brand fan. the room had not been serviced, but the maid did come by around 4 PM. We were out most of the day and were back around 3 PM hoping for a clean room. The carpet in our room was a little spotted but clean overall (nothing a good carpet steamer couldn't take care of) The bed was probably the most comfortable of anywhere we have stayed !!!! (and that is a BIG PLUS) Really the only thing we didn't care for was that the maid service didn't come by until almost 4 PM. (even free wine and beer on some days) Our two bedroom suite was just what we needed for our two night stay.
And who doesn't like free refreshments at dinner as well as breakfast. We asked for extra pillows with our reservations and there were extras already in our room. They just seem to go the extra mile with their services.
So far we have only had good experiences with Residence Inn and the Residence Inn KC Airport is another example.
